Scooters are divided into two categories: stand up and scooters with seats.

When talking about a stand up scooter, it means you will ride while standing (on the deck/platform).

To ride scooters with seats (and mobility scooters), you have to sit down as most of the space is already occupied by the seat; thus, the name seated scooters.

It’s important to note that you can convert almost every stand up electric scooter to a seated one, though.

In our previous post about the top electric scooters with seats, we talked about the all-great EMOVE RoadRunner as the best overall.

Today, let’s review the best stand up scooters for different use scenarios.

What are the best stand up electric scooters? Top 5

1. Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro: The best stand up electric scooter for adults overall

The Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro is one of my favorite electric scooters.

It allows the buyer to buy it with street or offroad tires.

When I was buying my Wolf King GT Pro, I selected the offroad tire option, and oh boy, this thing just chews any terrain that it’s subjected to.

While the street tire option is also great, encountering flats while riding is easier.

That is why we recommend that to-be owners check the alternative.

One of the primary factors to consider while shopping for an all-terrain scooter is the ride quality and we like that the Kaabo Wolf King GT features 50A Sinewave controllers.

This controller type guarantees a smooth ride quality, low noise on motors, and little to no instances of overheating.

You will typically enjoy a perfect balance of long range and top speed when you ride the King GT.

Below are the ultimate Wolf King GT Pro specs:

Our tested top speed60.8 mph (98km/h)
Our tested top range 69.8 miles (112km)
MotorsDual 2000W
Battery72V 35Ah (Samsung or LG)
ControllersDual 50Ah; Sinewave
Tire size11X4â€
SuspensionHydraulic shocks
BrakingHydraulic
Weight 52 kg (115 lbs)
Weight Limit150kg (330 lbs)

Featuring massive 11-inch tires, you can expect to hit smooth tarmacked roads, grassy terrains, sand-packed riding conditions, or even icy conditions without worrying much about the ground clearance.

One of the main reasons why we featured the King GT Pro as the best overall all terrain electric scooter for adults is that the tires are self-healing.

This means should you encounter a hole, the tires will heal themselves, which helps the rider to just keep going.

This scooter also comes packed with an IPX5 certified water-resistance rating, which means that once gotten unawares by rain, there won’t be much worry about getting some components damaged  (we recommend that you dry the scooter well, though) after riding.

This scooter has premium manufacturing materials, which is what leads to it weighing more than 110lbs.

This is more of merit than a con, though, because you will have no chance to fear parts breaking on you as you conquer those potholes or muddy surfaces.

Do you wish to climb hills? The Wolf King GT Pro has a hill-climbing ability of 50 degrees, which means climbing tough hilly terrains won’t be a worthy challenge for the King.

Hail the King of all terrains!

Where to buy the Wolf King GT Pro scooter

Regardless of where you are in the world, we find Voro Motors to be the best store for you to buy the King GT.

You can use ES-ARENA as your coupon code on checkout and end up saving $50.

2. TurboAnt V8: best-budget dual-battery stand up scooter for adults

If you are looking for a stand up scooter for adults and are on a tight budget, then we highly recommend the TurboAnt V8 electric scooter.

In our TurboAnt V8 electric scooter review, we described this scooter as the best-budget dual-battery e-scooter of all time.

You can check the specs from our tests below:

Our tested top speed18.8 mph (29.2 km/h)
Our tested top range48.7 miles (78km)
Motor450W
BatteryDual; 36V 7.5Ah each
BrakingDisc, electronic
LightsHeadlight, rear ambient lights
SuspensionRear dual springs
Weight47.62 lb (21.6kg)
Weight Limit275 lbs (125 kg)

If you are ideally looking forward to hitting a top range without worrying much about going fast, then the TurboAnt V8 e-scooter could be what you are looking for.

With a weight limit of 275 lbs (125kg), this scooter won’t exhibit problems hauling adults weighing 250 lbs or relatively more.

Unlike the other TurboAnt models, this is their current only beast that has any form of suspension.

The ride quality is definitely better than the other models; M10, X7 Pro, and X7 Max.

Long-range electric scooters undoubtedly need to be comfortable and it seems like TurboAnt got this right while manufacturing their V8 model.

With 19.9-inch (50.5 cm) handlebars, this scooter perfectly fits even tall riders.

The deck is long and wide enough (50cm and 17.5cm, respectively) which means even heavy dawgs weighing 250 lbs will be able to ride their scooter comfortably.

Its dual suspension at the rear and the large 9.5-inch pneumatic tires help with enhancing the comfort, not to forget the 10.5cm ground clearance.

In fact, while riding the V8 off the road, it chews dirt and vibrations, as is expected of any scooter worth its salt.

Typically, this V8 of electric scooters provides a buttery smooth riding experience and helps to inhibit the fatigue associated with riding an e-scooter for long.

Lastly and probably what you wanted to hear, we didn’t record any stem wobble while riding at full throttle.

We are actually happy for TurboAnt for making an e-scooter that doesn’t produce any stem wobble.

Not even at the tires.

3. EVOLV Terra: Best Stand Up E-scooter for adults with solid tires

If you would rather never face flat tires, then the EVOLV-Terra electric scooter is one of the few high-quality models for adults with solid tires.

From our tests, we recorded the specs below:

Our Tested Top Speed29.8 mph (48km/h)
Our Tested Top Range32.7 miles (52.6 km)
MotorDual 600W motors
Battery15.6 Ah 48V
BrakingDrum brakes
SuspensionShock (Both Front and Rear)
TiresSolid
Tire size8.5 Inches
Charging5 hours
Weight52.9 lbs (24kg)
Weight Limit265 lbs (120 kg)

After switching on the Terra, one thing you will notice is that it has a medium torque immediately after you hit its trigger throttle.

If you are a beginner electric scooter rider, it’s important for you to kick start this scooter instead of pulling the throttle immediately.

When you pull the throttle, the Terra really has no dead zone and as such, it simply starts accelerating.

When starting, Terra’s motor doesn’t make the noise associated with an electric scooter motor.

I can confidently tell you that this is one of the most silent electric scooters in its category.

Since the Terra has shock suspension at the front and the rear, the ride quality is absolutely great and not as rough as most riders associate with stand up electric scooters that feature solid tires.

4. Nami Burn-E 2 Max: Best Premium Stand-Up Electric Scooter

Nami Burn-E 2 Max scooter is perfect for those who wish to spend a fortune on a hyper-performance electric scooter.

Manufactured using premium-grade materials only, the Burn-E 2 Max is the electric scooter of choice for most veteran riders.

This spec-packed e-scooter is known for having one of the most buttery-smooth ride quality ever seen and that’s why it’s getting sold at around $5K.

Featuring a 72v 32Ah battery, this Nami model will hit a top range of 90 miles without breaking any sweat (depending on your weight, riding conditions, and experience of course).

This versatile Viper of the desert also allows you to choose the battery brand to come with your scooter (From LG to Samsung to Panasonic).

Also coming with dual 1500W motors, you can expect to hit a real top speed of 60 miles per hour without any struggles.

Weighing only 103 lbs, the Nami Burn-E 2 Max is the lightest model across its wide range of competitors.

However, the weight limit isn’t compromised.

This Nami model will carry your 330 lbs of weight without struggling.

What we loved while test-riding this Nami version is that it features 50A sinewave controllers, which makes the ride quality Oh so good.

In fact, we featured it as the best premium electric scooter with sine wave controllers.

The best feature that complements the sine wave controllers is that the Burn-E 2 Max comes with full hydraulic suspension.

Hydraulic suspension is the best when coupled with smooth controllers, the ride quality will always be magnificent.

The 11-inch offroad tires included in the Burn-E 2 Max excel while chewing rough terrains, regardless of the riding conditions.

These are some of the highest-quality offroad tires we have ever seen in a scooter, and we have no doubt that the whole thing is right up your alley.

Where to buy Burn-E 2 Max scooter

We find Voltage Motowerks to be the best Nami Burn-E 2 Max seller.

They are currently the best company that offers the most outstanding customer service among the many Nami scooter sellers and we highly recommend them.

5. Razor E100: Best budget stand up electric scooter for kids under $200

If you are looking for a stand up electric scooter under $200 to maybe gift your beloved young one, then we rated the Razor E100 as the best choice.

The Razor E100 stand up electric scooter for kids is one of the best budget e-scooters that has stood the test of time.

Since most parents have bought this model for their kids, there are tons of tutorials that show how to customize, upgrade, and even troubleshoot this model.

Coming in many color variations, you can pick from an array of 5 and make your beloved kid stand out from the crowd.

While testing this model, these are the details we garnered:

Tested top speed9.6 mph (15.5 km/h)
Tested top range10km (6.3 miles)
Motor100W; chain-driven
Battery24V
Weight 31 Lbs (14kg)
Weight Limit120 lbs

One of the primary reasons we love the E100 is that it features 8-inch solid tires.

As you perhaps are aware, most kids aren’t as cautious and it would be easy for them to encounter flats in the event that this Razor e-scooter featured pneumatic tires.

Unlike the hub motors in most adult electric scooters, the E100 features a 100W chain-driven motor.

To get this motor engaged, it’s advisable that the rider kicks it to 3 miles per hour.

The accelerator is in the form of a twist throttle, and we find it a great choice since twist throttles don’t have a dead zone as you would expect in a thumb throttle.

The handlebars are adjustable, which gives kids of different sizes to have the convenience they can think of.

With a front brake, your kid will definitely be safe with such a scooter.

The 24V rechargeable lead acid battery is strategically positioned, which makes replacing it not a so-difficulty affair.

The carbon steel frame is one of the sturdiest and this means riders within its recommended load capacity won’t have any issues at all about stability.

Razor E100 Stand up e-scooter Pros

  • Great manufacturing design
  • The kick-start feature adds to the safety of kids
  • The lights flicker to show that the throttle has been activated. A convenient feature for the rider
  • The scooter comes with a 90-day warranty, which is awesome.

Cons

Since the E100 comes with a lead-acid battery, it takes longer to charge (for us, it took between 12 to 14 hours to fully charge)
